Roman Empire // Gladiator Games Advertisement

What am I learning?
- I learned a handful of things during the Ancient Rome, for example; who founded it, useful things they've invented that we use up until now. We also discussed how to count in Roman Numerals, Roman sports, and Roman religion.
How does this work show my learning?
- I showed my learning with Roman Sports, by making an advertisement for a game.
What am I wondering?
- How long did it take them to be economically stable?
How can I use this learning?
- I can use Roman Numerals with our daily lives.

Cave Art

What am I learning?
 - I learned about how they lived during those days with the old technology equipment with sticks as their paintbrush. It is interesting to learn their technology that they had compared to our current technology.
How does this work show my learning?
 - By actually doing it with sticks, with my fingers, and painting it with a story.
What am I wondering?
 - How did they make the paint/ink to draw it

Persuasive Writing: Watching Television Is Making New Zealand / Aotearoa An Unhealthy Nation

Do you think watching television is making New Zealand / Aotearoa an unhealthy nation?
On this topic, my opinion is 50/50. But at the end of the day, people shouldn't blame the television for making Aotearoa an unhealthy nation, they should blame themselves for not having self-control.

Digital Learning Object: Elizabethan Theatre #3

What are the things that we've been doing in our English class? Even though it's the last week of school, we are still doing a lot of work and one of them is studying and researching about The Elizabethan Theatre. The Elizabethan Theatre is the place where Shakespeare's works were performed. The term Elizabethan theatre, however, properly covers only the plays written and performed publicly in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth (1558-1603).

What is the importance of learning about the Elizabethan Theatre?
- Because this is where Shakespeare's works were mostly performed. Which is really spectacular, knowing that this theatre and some audience experienced the work of Shakespeare in real life.

What am I learning?

Digital Learning Object: William Shakespeare #1

So what are we doing in our English class? For the past week, we've been studying about William Shakespeare. But who's William Shakespeare?

William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as both the greatest writer in the English language, and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet, and the "Bard of Avon". His extant works, including collaborations, consist of approximately 39 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other verses, some of uncertain authorship. His plays have been translated into every major living language, and are performed more often than those of any other playwright. (via Wikipedia)

However what is the importance of studying him? Well, William Shakespeare made a big impact and influence in our current English language and literature.

What am I learning?
I learned that William Shakespeare had a really interesting life when he was still alive.

Now I am wondering;
Did Shakespeare enjoyed his life?
Did he had any remorse in life?
Was he from a rich family or ancestry?
Did he enjoyed his fame during his lifetime?
