Solo Song Research

Image result for 1984 van halenI've decided to use Van Halen's song titled Jump. It was released as the lead single of their album 1984. Van Halen is a Grammy award-winning American hard rock band known for its energetic and powerful live shows. As early as 1981, Eddie Van Halen had written the keyboard part that would be eventually this song, Jump.

Jump is one of the prominent anthems of all intros for sports events and championships; because of the energetic vibe, the song gives to the fans, which hype up the fans and that's what sports community wants.  However, David Lee Roth (one of the composers of this song) wrote the lyrics from driving and cruising around Los Angeles in his vintage 1951 Mercury convertible. He remembered a news report flashing into his TV about a man threatening to jump off a building. He thought that there is always that one person who's telling the guy to "Go ahead and jump". Because of that, the lyrics of the chorus was born.
