Unlike the other technologies such as the light bulb and the telephone, the Internet wasn't invented by a single 'brain inventor'. Instead, humanity made it better over time. The Internet started in the United States over 5 decades ago as an equipment for scientists and military needs in the Cold War against The Soviet Union. On October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union launched the first man-made satellite object into the orbit. However, Sputnik did not do much at that time. But for the Americans, the beach ball-sized Sputnik was a threat for them. While some of their smartest, brightest scientists and engineers had been focusing on inventing, designing, and making bigger cars and better TV's. Because of this, the United States invented a communication line that the military can use for close communication and that is how the Internet started. During the 1960's the government was the one who had access to the Internet, but now, everyone could access and buy internet. However, what if the Internet never existed? What if all of these happenings never happened? Does the world we know right now would be different if the Internet never existed?
Share your opinions on the comment box below which one do you prefer, a world with advanced technology or a world without a trace of technology?
I'm curious about that too Alyana.I think there are both advantages and disadvantages of internet in our lives. There are tons. But if you can dig deeper into it, even though you don't want our world with advanced technology ,you can't change the fact that we are already systemized that we need technology in our life. Hope it made sense hahaha.
